It's nearly March, and BritBox has released their latest schedule for another month of great British television. While the number of shows premiering this month is slightly less than usual, it's a great month for mysteries and gardening programming (and if you've never watched a British gardening show, we strongly recommend giving it a try – they're quietly delightful).

Not a BritBox subscriber? You can sign up for one HERE on their website, or HERE on Amazon Video. Both options offer the same content, but some people find one or the other offers them better compatibility with their devices or better overall streaming quality.

The series follows Antoine Verlaque (Allam), an investigating judge in Aix-en Provence, and his romantic partner Marine Bonnet (Carroll) as they investigate and solve murders and mysteries in their idyllic homeland. They also get help from Hélène (Settle), a detective and long-time confidant to Antoine.

Which New BritBox Shows Will You Be Watching in March 2022?

For us, Murder in Provence and Gardeners' World are the most exciting premieres of the month – but we'll probably give The Bay at least one episode to see if it's any good without Morven Christie. Unlike shows like Doctor Who or Death in Paradise, I'm not sure there's a rich enough world or set of characters to allow for swapping out main characters without losing something, but it's worth giving it a shot.

  1. Unrelated to the series(es?) but I need help with Acorn! I have contacted them multiple times and have uninstalled/reinstalled, unplugged, rebooted…. I subscribed through Acorn, not Amazon Prime. Nothing helps. Here’s my issue: EVERY single time I watch Acorn TV, it turns the TV off randomly. Any hints from you British TV fans?

  2. I love British TV. 90% of the time I only watch BritBox or WETA UK, our British programming PBS station.

  3. Love Britbox!!!! Just wish 24 hours in police custody had more episodes sooner!!!! So addicting. This is what I mostly watch love the programing!!!

  4. When will Vera return to PBS in the US? It’s an incredibly well done show and greatly missed! A family favorite!

  5. Is anyone having trouble with Britbox loading/spooling – not the programs but the streaming service itself? There are times I can’t bring it up. Any suggestions?

  6. I very much enjoyed the new Murder in Province but with the male lead being 20 (!!) years older than the female lead in real life, how about giving my favorite gal Vera a 50 year old playmate!?😂

  7. Will there be more episodes of A Provençal Mystery? Three are just not enough.

  8. We just finished the 3 episodes of Murder in Provence. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Three episodes surely not enough. Great to see Roger Allum too while we wait for more Endeavor. And Nancy Carroll was a a delight to watch. Great support cast as well. And the scenery, lovely, took us back to our trip to France. I do hope they renew it!

    • I agree. I love Murder in Provence. So good to see both Roger Allam (Endeavor) & Nancy Carroll (Fr. Brown) in these delightful and smart roles.

I’ve also watched all 10 episodes of Sr. Boniface Mysteries. I love all the characters in this show. And was so happy to see the decision “Sarge” made @ the end of Episode 10!

  9. What about series 11 of Death in Paradise?! When will it be on BritBox? Series 24 of Silent witness?!
Good Karma Hospital? Love BritBox and Acorn!

  10. I can’t wait for a new Shakespeare and Hathaway. Can’t remember which of the Brit networks it is on though.

  11. I love all the British mysteries and shows. Vera, my fave. Can’t wait to see 2nd season of Wave and Lablanc murder mysteries. Sister Boniface delightful. Keep them coming across the pond, to the US.

  12. Bravo!! Thanks for creating the Sister Boniface mysteries!! I often wished we’d see her in another Fr Brown…together, they were a hoot! I am glad he showed up in an episode; a cameo (and he didn’t look well to me, is Mark Ok?). I just wanted to thank you — a thoroughly cute and delightful show!! I can’t wait for Mondays when I get two new episodes dropped in!! Come on

    • She was in one episode of Father Brown I think, and he appears in one episode of this new series.. (ep 4, I think).

  13. Unknown: what will be aired on BritBox in the US or how long we have to wait to watch all of these! Already anticipating the joy of each program.
