Agatha Christie's Poirot – 1989 to 2013 – The eccentric Belgian Detective Poirot investigates mysteries in this adaptation of the Agatha Christie classics.

Agatha Raisin – 2014 to present – Based on the M.C. Beaton novels, Agatha Raisin leaves her high-flying London PR life for a peaceful existence in The Cotswolds – or so she thinks.  

Altered Carbon – 2018 to present – 360 years in the future, all consciousness is stored digitally and a rebel from the distant past is brought back and given a chance at a new life.  

Amber – 2014 – Ireland – Set in Dublin, this miniseries follows the disappearance of a 14-year-old girl named Amber.

Amnesia – 2004 – This miniseries tells the story of DS MacKenzie Stone, his tireless search for his wife who disappeared 5 years prior, and an amnesiac who factors into the case.

An Unsuitable Job for a Woman – 1997 to 2001 – Cordelia manages a rundown detective agency after her boss kills himself.

And Then There Were None – 2015 – Based on the Agatha Christie novel, this miniseries sees 10 strangers invited to an island, only to be killed off one by one.

Appropriate Adult – 2011 – Based on the true story of Gloucester serial killer Fred West and his wife Rosemary West.  

Armchair Mystery Theatre – 1960 to 1965 – This mystery anthology series was a spinoff from the drama anthology Armchair Theatre.   

Armchair Thriller – 1978 to 1982 – This anthology series features stories of mystery, suspense, and the supernatural.  

Arthur & George – 2015 – Martin Clunes stars as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in this miniseries.

Ashes to Ashes – 2008 to 2010 – In this Life on Mars sequel, DCI Gene Hunt joins the Metro Police to work on “southern nancy” crimes with partner DI Alex Drake.   

Babylon – 2014 – This London-based series focuses on a number of high-ranking police officers and a new communications director in charge of improving police image.

Backup – 1995 to 1997 – Nine men and women work in a special unit that does whatever is necessary to support the West Midlands Police Force.  

Bad Girls – 1999 to 2006 – This drama focuses on the inmates and staff in a fictional London-area prison.  

Badger – 1999 to 2000 – Tom and Jim are wildlife protection officers in Northumberland who investigate crimes related to wildlife.  They work closely with Steph, a vet, and Claire, another officer.  

Bancroft – 2017 to 2018 – DS Elizabeth Bancroft is a brilliant officer, but the questionable tactics she employed in the past are coming back to haunt her.  

Bang – 2017 to present – In this bilingual Welsh crime drama, a man comes into possession of a gun and his life is forever changed.

Baptiste – 2018 to present – Baptiste is a spinoff of the original series The Missing.  

Beasts – 1976 to 1976 – This supernatural anthology series was created in the 1970s and features six self-contained episodes of beastly horror – rats, witches, wolves, and…ghost dolphins terrorize the characters.

Bedlam – 2011 to 2013 – A man with the ability to see ghosts moves to Bedlam Heights, home to numerous strange hauntings.

Catweazle – 1970 to 1971 – An 11th-century wizard falls through time and lands in 1969, where he befriends a young boy.

Code of a Killer – 2015 – This criminal drama tells the story of the first time DNA fingerprinting was used to help solve a murder case.

Cold Blood – 2005 to 2008 – A notorious murderer is finally placed in prison, but they can't find his last victim.   

Collateral – 2018 to present – When a pizza delivery man is murdered, police soon realize there’s much more to the story.

Collision – 2009 – A major road accident changes the lives of several people who had never met prior to the incident.

Colonel March of Scotland Yard – 1954 to 1956 – This vintage series stars Boris Karloff as a detective who investigates unusual and sometimes supernatural cases.

Conviction – 2004 – Mistakes made during the investigation of a 12-year-old girl’s murder have consequences for the investigators.

Cracker – 1993 to 1996 – Though he’s obnoxious and anti-social, Fitz is a brilliant criminal psychologist and police consultant.
