Safe – 2018 to present – American actor Michael C Hall (Dexter) stars in this series about a British widower whose daughter goes missing.

Safe House – 2015 to 2017 – Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who) stars in this series about a married couple asked to turn their guest house into a safe house.  

Sally Lockhart Mysteries – 2006 to 2007 – Two of the four Sally Lockhart novels were adapted into two television movies starring Billie Piper.

Shadows of Fear – 1970 to 1973 – This anthology series featured people in weird and terrifying situations.  

Shakespeare & Hathaway – 2018 to present – In beautiful Stratford-Upon-Avon, an unlikely pair of private investigators solves crimes together.  

She's Out – 1995 – After serving 9 years for murdering her husband, Dolly Rawlins gets out. She has big plans, as does everyone around her.

Sherlock – 2010 to 2017 – Benedict Cumberbatch stars in this modern take on the original Sir Arthur Conan Doyle stories.    

Sherlock Holmes – 1965 to 1968 – Nigel Stock and Peter Cushing star as Watson and Holmes in this version of the classic stories.

Softly, Softly – 1966 to 1969 – In the mythical area of Wyvern, a Regional Crime Squad fights crime.     

Southcliffe – 2013 – Told from the perspective of a journalist, this series tells the story of a shooting in an English market town.

Special Branch – 1969 to 1974 – This groundbreaking crime drama focused on an elite group of officers assigned to protect London from high-end threats.    

Spender – 1991 to 1993 – In this gritty police drama, a detective in Northeast England solves crimes a lot better than he solves his marital issues.   

Spotless – 2015 to 2017 – A crime scene cleaner in London finds trouble when his criminal brother involves him in organized crime.

Spyder's Web – 1972 – Secret government agents use the film industry as cover, posing as documentary filmmakers while solving crimes too tough for the normal police.

Stan Lee's Lucky Man – 2016 to 2018 – In this action-crime drama from Stan Lee, a down-on-his-luck investigator suddenly gains the power to control luck – at a cost.   

State of Play – 2003 – A government conspiracy surrounds the death of a young politician's mistress/assistant.

Stay Lucky – 1989 to 1993 – A small-time gangster escapes London and heads north, finding himself drawn into a woman's life in Leeds.    

Stonemouth – 2015 – A man returns to his small Scottish hometown in hopes of finding out the truth about his friend’s murder.

Strange – 2002 to 2003 – An ex-priest hunts demons and bad elements within the church.

Strike aka C.B. Strike – 2017 to present – Based on the Robert Galbraith novels by JK Rowling, this series follows PI Cormoran Strike and his highly-competent, Yorkshire-born assistant Robin.  

Supernatural – 1977 – In order to gain entry into a secret society, prospective members must tell a sufficiently frightening story or face death.

Supply & Demand – 1997 to 1998 – This crime drama features an elite team of detectives charged with investigating large-scale smugglers and importers.  

Survivors – 2008 to 2010 – A group of otherwise normal people survive a devastating outbreak.  

Suspects – 2014 to 2016 – Three Greater London detectives investigate serious crimes in this heavily improvised series.     

Taggart – 1985 to 2010 – Originally a miniseries titled Killer, this long-running Scottish police procedural features investigations of gruesome crimes in Glasgow (later expanding to other areas at times).

Tales of the Unexpected – 1979 to 1988 – The short stories of Roald Dahl are dramatized in this series.   

Talking to the Dead – 2013 – A promising young DC with Cardiff Major Crimes attempts to solve a murder while dealing with Cotard's Syndrome.

Tatau – 2015 – This eight-part miniseries is a supernatural murder mystery set in the Cook Islands.

TECX – 1990 – This short-lived series featured 3 ambitious Belgian private investigators who took on cases around Britain, Holland, France, and Belgium.  

Thief Takers – 1995 to 1997 – This series focuses on the personal and professional lives of police officers who specialize in handling armed robberies.   

Thirteen – 2016 – After 13 years of being held captive, Ivy Moxam steps out onto the street.

Thirteen Against Fate – 1966 – This mystery series features thirteen standalone stories by Georges SImenon, creator of the Maigret series.

Thirteen Steps Down – 2012 – A man stalks a supermodel and moves deeper into his obsession with a serial killer.

Thorne – 2010 – DI Thorne investigates a serial killer who has manipulated one of his victims into a stroke, unable to communicate but aware of everything.

Thriller – 1973 to 1976 – This 1970s horror anthology program ranges from supernatural stories to psychological thrillers.      

Timeslip – 1970 to 1971 – Two young friends find a time barrier that allows them to travel to different time periods, often finding themselves caught up in strange adventures.

Tin Star – 2017 to present – Set in a sleepy Canadian town, Tim Roth plays a New Chief of Police who has to deal with the violence and crime that follows big money into town.  

Top Boy – 2011 to 2013 – Top Boy follows the plight of a young man in a Hackney housing estate after his mother is committed for mental health issues.  

Torchwood – 2006 to 2011 – A secret agency called Torchwood fights off threats from aliens and the supernatural.    

Touching Evil – 1997 to 1999 – Robson Green and Nicola Walker star in this crime drama about the Organised & Serial Crime Unit.   

Travelling Man – 1984 to 1985 – After doing time for a bribe he never accepted, ex-DI Alan Lomax takes to a canal boat to exact his revenge.  

Trial and Retribution – 1997 to 2009 – DS Walker and his team follow criminals from their crime to the courts.

True Dare Kiss – 2007 – Four sisters come together after their father's death, and old secrets bubble to the surface.
