If you've been dying to check out Brief Encounters, the new comedy about lingerie and sex toy saleswoman Jacqueline Golf's rise in the 1980s, you need wait no more. It's now available on both Acorn streaming and Amazon streaming (with an Amazon Acorn subscription). For those who aren't aware, you can subscribe to Acorn either directly through Acorn, or you can subscribe through Amazon – but you can't use both under one subscription fee. If you buy Acorn directly from Acorn, you won't be able to stream it on Amazon without separately paying Amazon for a subscription, too. I've noticed some people were confused about that, so I wanted to clarify.

For those who prefer to own the DVDs, you can also pre-order the DVD set here for shipment on November 29th. Perhaps the most amusing thing about the DVD set is the fact that nearly all the reviews on the product page seem to be confusing “Brief Encounters” with the Sophia Loren and Richard Burton remake of the classic film “Brief Encounter”.

Not sure what all the fuss is about? Check out the trailer below.
