If you're a Sherlock fan, you've no doubt been waiting (an eternity) for the Series 4 premiere announcement. At long last, the wait is over. Episode 1, “The Six Thatchers”, will premiere on January 1, 2017.  It sounds like just the thing for those post-holiday blues. Then again, it could spell trouble if your New Year's resolution is to watch less TV.

If you haven't seen the trailer yet, check it out below.

As we can see in the trailer, Toby Jones (of Harry Potter and Detectorists fame) will be making an appearance this time around – and it doesn't look like he'll be the same jovial guy he was in Detectorists.

The episode 2 title has also been released, and it's going to be called, “The Lying Detective”. So far, Series 4 is shaping up to be quite dark.

  1. I don’t understand why ur content is all over the place?! Can’t u put premiers if shows by streaming service? You know? BritBox, Acorn, Netflix etc in the year we can see it? Why bother announcing shows that we’re streamed in 2016 or 2017 in 2019? It makes for confusion.
