Sister Boniface Mysteries: First Look Images

After lengthy pandemic-related delays, it was starting to feel like Sister Boniface Mysteries would never happen. The good news, though, is that while it was heavily delayed, production was able to start earlier this year – and the series will premiere on February 8th in North America.

Sister Boniface Mysteries First Look Images
Today, BritBox has released a number of images from the upcoming series. We don't have episode descriptions or a lot of context yet, but we wanted to share the images for those who want to get a feel for what the series will be like.
This photo alone lets us know Lorna Watson is bringing all the necessary enthusiasm and charm to the role of Sister Boniface.
We don't know what's happening here, but it looks like we'll get at least one mystery that involves posh people and a grand country estate.

Those two certainly look suspicious with expressions like that (not to mention the mob-style suit).
It's hard to say if this is a “from the set” image, or if one of the mysteries will involve a TV or film set.
Then again, this image would seem to imply it's definitely from an episode that takes place on a film set.

So far, a trailer has yet to be released – but with the premiere fast approaching in February, we expect it won't be too much longer before a trailer is made available. We'll add it here when it comes out.
Will You Be Watching Sister Boniface Mysteries When it Premieres?
We've been waiting on this one ever since it was announced – way back in the pre-pandemic days. Sadly, it was delayed for quite a while due to all the lockdowns and restrictions and scheduling conflicts when everyone got back to work at once.
The good news is that it won't be much longer now. The premiere date has been set for February 8th, so that's less than 2 months to go. In the meantime, we'll be re-watching Sister Boniface's original Father Brown episode to refresh our memories of the character.
